Padstow Lifeboat Station

Introduction

Padstow Lifeboat Station is a bespoke lifeboat station occupying a site at Trevose Head on the beach at Padstow, Cornwall. The building owners, the RNLI, instructed Bennington Green to complete a valuation for the rebuild of the Station, for insurance purposes.

Our Approach

The works involved visiting the site to view and photograph the property to gain an understanding of what should be included for within the valuation. A CAD drawing was then created from the findings of the site visit which in turn was then used to individually measure the areas of differing compositions. Rates from an approved online database were then applied to the calculated areas to reach an accurate valuation of the entire property. Next a report was created to explain the valuation and associated provisos. This, along with the photographic schedule, a calculation sheet and a map of the site was then compiled into one document and sent to the client. We worked closely with the client, to ensure our calculations were based on the correct information and rates and that everything was correctly attributed to the property in order that the valuation was accurate for insurance purposes.
