Chartered Surveyor Degree Apprenticeship (Quantity Surveying)
Summary
You will have completed or are completing your A Levels and have (or be predicted to achieve) a minimum of 110 UCAS points.
Secure a professional quantity surveying qualification while you work. You will undertake a Chartered Surveyor Degree Apprenticeship (Quantity Surveying) with the University of Portsmouth. You will learn about construction topics such as measurement and tendering, Building Information Modelling (BIM), contract law and property economics. You’ll graduate with the confidence to tackle social, economic and technical issues around construction projects of all sizes.
This is a degree apprenticeship course, so you’ll spend 1 day of your working week on your studies, with the other 4 in one of our offices. You’ll be able to put what you learn to work immediately, developing your career as you contribute to the success of our projects.
The successful applicant will be provided with various training and in house experiences to support the University course.
Tuition fees are covered by Bennington Green and the Government. RICS fees are paid for by Bennington Green.
The role is to assist the team to deliver a broad range of services to our clients. You will be customer facing and will regularly be interacting with our client’s, consultant’s, contractor’s and subcontractor’s delivering a variety of projects from small residential refurbishments to new build commercial ventures.
The role will involve all stages of construction projects from initial inception through to final
account and life cycle management. Typically the role will involve:
- Undertaking feasibility studies
- Performing risk and value management assessments
- Procurement
- Cost planning
- Change management and valuation
- Final account negotiation
- Report writing
- Fund monitoring surveying
- Reinstatement valuations
- Contract Administration

- Good knowledge of Microsoft Packages
- A full clean driving licence and own vehicle
