Bennington Green were appointed to undertake the original planning application for this domestic home, to create a new rear ground floor single storey and first floor extension to improve the layout and size and allow the clients growing family space. Following the planning approval, the client requested us to undertake additional design and planning to improve the home further.
Our client requested that we explore the possibility to relocate the existing main entrance to the building, to reduce the dead circulation spaces and to create additional storage and dressing rooms. As part of the design development, we were able to propose additional refinements to improve the flow through the property as well as to increase storage and the newly formed rooms sizes, by further reducing unused dead spaces. Once the client signed-off and froze the design, Bennington Green undertook the planning submission, which in this case made use of the council’s free second attempt allowance.
