Avonbourne School have worked with Bennington Green on several major projects, to refurbish and renovate the school buildings and grounds. Projects have included the renovation of the Science Labs, the creation of a Lecture Theatre, Common Room Atrium Area and the external landscaping improvements.
Bennington Green undertook the full Design and Project Management for the school enhancements, the projects were undertaken within a ‘live’ school environment and in an area which required consideration of the school’s daily schedules and working areas. Work included the complete strip out and refurbishment of the science labs, a spatial and fit-out design and engaged the services of a specialist school furniture supplier for the new equipment layout in the lecture theatres and the creation of a new ‘horticulturally’ friendly student walkway and extensive levelling of the existing sports field. A modern design was agreed with the school which incorporated all the necessary requirements from BB80.
New mechanical and electrical services were included on a performance specification basis to serve the schools requirements.
