Livingstone infant school

Introduction

Bennington Green were instructed by Hamwic Trust to prepare a maintenance plan for Livingstone Infant School in Poole. The property is constructed largely over a single storey with a small first floor section used as offices. The main building dates from the 1940s and comprised masonry external walls with a flat roof, a series of cabins were installed approximately 10 years ago to provide additional teaching space.

Our Approach

An internal and external non-intrusive inspection of the building was undertaken to establish the type of construction of the main elements of the building and to assess their condition and likely life expectancy. Access was also afforded to the roof to allow a closer inspection of these areas. Following the site visit, a written report and photographic schedule was produced which detailed the repairs and planning maintenance requirements, together with timescales and costs to allow for on-going proactive property maintenance.
